03. Do I need an attorney and accountant to buy or sell a business?

While some companies are sold without the help of accountants and attorneys, we strongly recommend that both the buyer and seller engage professionals. We can provide referrals to qualified specialists upon request.

 

04. What geographical areas do you service?

We work with businesses Tampa, Lakeland, and surrounding cities.

05. Will my employees and customers find out I’m selling my business?

They won’t find out from us. We treat all information with the highest level of confidentiality. We also make potential buyers sign a Confidentiality Agreement before we share sensitive information. In our marketing efforts, we will be careful to keep your business identity secure.

06. What size businesses do you work with?

Because we’ve completed hundreds of transactions, we’ve had the privilege of working with businesses of all sizes and in all industries as well. We primarily focus on businesses that get sold from $1m to $15m.

 

07. Can you expose my business to people outside of our immediate area?

Yes. We have a large, diverse database. We also place ads where they’ll be seen nationally and internationally. We also will proactively seek out promising prospects, wherever they may be, and contact them directly. In addition we have offices in almost every state in the US and foreign offices including the U.K., Australia, and Dubai.

08. Will you co-broke?

Yes. If you’re already working with a business broker, we will act as co-brokers and do whatever it takes to get the deal done.

09. How do you determine my business’s value and selling price?

Of course every business is different, even those in the industry. At Transworld we know what questions to ask and research to do. We know how every factor, big and small, can add to or detract from the value.
